The 1940s Dance Party
The 1940s Dance Party on Friday night was a great success. We danced the night away to tunes by the original artists of the day - Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman… Tunes were spun by our 8th Street Entertainment DJ, Luke. There was food and fun and participants came in a variety of 40s styles. Thank you to Dan Setzer, who acted as our (very popular!) dance coach, who helped us learn a few new steps! And thank you to all the volunteers who made this happen.
A very special thanks to the Maine Community Foundation, who awarded a grant for the purchase of the sound and AV system. We used them all on Friday night!
